About

I am Ar. Md. Mainul Hassan Tuheen, a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Premier University, Chattogram, since 2016. I completed my Bachelor of Architecture from Khulna University in 2014 and currently pursuing my Master’s degree (thesis ongoing) in Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM) from Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). With a passion for teaching and research, I am dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and sustainable design practices among my students while contributing to architectural academia and professional discourse. Besides, in 2018, I co-founded Weavers’ Studio (an architectural consultancy firm), where I currently serve as the Principal Architect. I am a full member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and have been an Executive Council Member of the IAB Chattogram Chapter since 2021.

• Achieved ArchKU (Khulna University Architecture Discipline) Best Designer Award for the Session 2009-2010.

• Achieved 3rd National Position in the international competition titled "Urban Revitalization of Mass Housing" which is organized by "UN-Habitat" & the IUA (March 2014).

• Won the Best Stall Design Award at ‘Ekushey Boi Mela, Chattogram’ in 2018 for the book stall of Pencil-publisher.

• Won the competition project of “KDS Group Head Office” design at Oxyzen, Chattogram in 2019 which was organized by KDS Group.

• Won the 4th Best Paper Award for the research paper titled: ‘Smart Rural Hub: A Resilience Approach in Bangladeshi Char Communities’, in international conference organized by University of Melbourne, Australia in 2020.

• Competition winner: ‘Iconic Villa of the Century’ Design Competition organized by LYX-Arkitecter; position 10^th among 476 international entries in 2021.

• Achieved district level ‘Runner-up’ position in ‘National Math Olympiad 2005 and 2006’ organized by Bangladesh Math Olympiad Committee and Prothom-Alo.
